Apparently Bowie isn't too familiar with Senior Skip day and pushes the students to efficiently use their education time wisely.

To willingly do the same job for several decades shows how much he really enjoys his catering opportunities, especially at SXSW.

He didn't have high expectations, a good mentality for when you're playing sports but he should've seen it coming after what his coaches have been saying.

Yes, it is intriguing, I'd like to learn more on the subject.

1A. Why is this your favorite?
It shows the scenery, the reactions, the props, the volunteers and their feelings.

The photo under "Janacek Takes First in Every Meet" with Evan about to lift weights

2A. Why is this your least favorite?
They should have captured a more stressful moment with Evan barely being able to lift his capacity or a crowd reacting to his skills. Very underwhelming photo for the article.

3. If you were a photographer on staff, which event/photo assignment would you have liked to do for this issue?
I think the agriculture article would be my favorite one to shoot for. The people taking care of the animals and their environment.

4. Overall, how would you rate the photography in this issue? What were the strong points and weak points?
I would rate the photography a 9/10, while they were spot on with most of the shutter speed settings and blurriness, they also could've improved on where their main focus was for the photos.

HDR Photography Prep

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?
It's necessary to change he shutter speed for each image taken so the exposure changes in each.

2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?
You would need a camera, proper tri-pod, and an HDR Photo-Blending software

3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?
Somebody may want to take an HDR image if they might be taking a photo with a lot of contrast between the sky and land.

4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?
With the photos merged, we can now see all the colors of where the camera had been focusing on for each photo, where as before, the picture would have been too dark/ too bright on some places.

Movie Review Prep

1. Who are the main characters you would expect to see in the movie, based on the real life events?
I would most importantly expect to see Captain Phillips as well as the Somali pirates, his boss, the coworkers on his ship, chief engineer Mike Perry and Captain Larry Aasheim

2. Briefly, in 2-3 paragraphs, tell me what you expect the plot to be in the movie, based on the real life events?
I will expect the movie to be about the invasion of the MV Maersk. Most likely a first person point of view of Captain Phillip's journey through the event with distorted opinions and experiences.

3. Why was this story important?
It displays the heroic acts of the earlier Captain Phillips as part of a movie based on real life events. In addition to that, it raised more awareness towards the incident.


4. Why did the pirates try to take the ship?
For personal growth, in need of its supposed treasure (supplies, money, etc.) to quickly gain with risk.
