Commentary -  Parking Plans Insufficient for Bowie

It explains the parking issues with the Bowie students for the up in coming years and how it will be affecting them. It's said that the parking garage will cause more crashes than before and will create more traffic because of the shuttles.

Features - Pawesome Pup Eases Student's Anxiety

The article is about Anna Smiley's life with a service dog, how she goes through public places with anxiety and how her dog helps her. Service dogs may not work for everybody, but it is very beneficial to Smiley in reducing her anxiety and raising her confidence.

Sports - Senior Guard Assists Varsity to Victories

The story focuses on Vickie Benson, a key player on the varsity Bowie basketball team. She is impressed at Hailey Atwood's performance and believes she could make Varsity too.

 “Although it was probably the hardest thing I have been through, it made me a lot stronger as a person, and with the support of my teammates, I was able to get through the rough time. Playing basketball definitely made things better and got my mind off of what was going on in my personal life.” She utilizes her love in sports as a healthy distraction from what is going on in her life and still go past her injuries.

I'm not interested so much in sports, but the imagery and word choice is interesting. I would keep me reading.

Pages 8-9 (In-Depth) - Gov't Shutdown

The newest and fastest government shutdown occurred simply because congress had refused to pass the legislation with Donald trump's 5 billion dollar demand for "The Wall". Because of this, it had drawn more attention to the topic of Immigration and Trumps ideas on it.

Absolutely, comparing the government to temporarily angry 5 year olds is a wonderful lead.

I love the illustration of the Statue of Liberty in the "In-Depth" portion, the detail in the different colored shapes works so well with each other.

The diving photo's

Which assignment would I have wanted to do for its issue?
I would have wanted to do the swimming/diving sports issue for its complexity of camera modifications and enjoyment.

The strong points were its photos, they were very well made and bright even with the newspaper type of paper. The weak points I found
